Florida Section Goes Live

Law360 has launched Florida Law360, a section dedicated to emerging litigation, legislation and regulation, and deals in the Sunshine State.

The new state wire is a one-stop news source for Florida corporations and the attorneys who counsel them, covering key developments in state and federal courts, regulatory agencies, and the state legislature, as well as law firm hires and major transactions.

The Florida section is up and running on the Law360 website, and inaugural newsletters went out Tuesday, March 26. Law360 News subscribers have full access to Florida Law360, and it is also available as a stand-alone subscription.

To start receiving the newsletter, users can sign up on the Law360 website or have their account manager set up a newsletter subscription.

Florida Law360 is our sixth state wire, rounding out sections dedicated to California, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Law360 Names Top Attorneys Under 40

Law360 has published the Rising Stars for 2013, our list of the 112 attorneys under the age of 40 who are already making a name for themselves in their practice areas.

The Rising Stars counsel blue-chip clients and play leadership roles in major litigation and deals, proving that it isn’t just the long-standing veterans at the forefront of the industry. The winners — chosen among roughly 1,000 nominees for their accomplishments — will be profiled in Law360 in the weeks ahead.

"We were struck by the number and quality of submissions we received this year,” Law360 managing editor Cat Fredenburgh said. “It's exciting to see how many talented attorneys with long careers ahead of them are already performing at the highest level.”

The attorneys hail from nearly 60 top firms, with Jones Day, Gibson Dunn and Kirkland & Ellis boasting at least five winners each. And a handful of attorneys including Thomas Kirsch of Winston & Strawn, Skadden’s Peter Morrison, Michael Rubin of Wilson Sonsini, and Jamie Beaber of Steptoe & Johnson are returning to the winners’ circle for a second or third time.
