Law360’s popular Practice Group Leader Q&A series is back, delivering insight from influential attorneys about their careers, hot-button issues and practice area trends.

The up-close articles began running Tuesday, Feb. 19, and will continue to be featured on Law360 over the coming months. The series offers a direct look at each attorney’s areas of expertise, revealing their toughest cases, hard-knock lessons, and take on issues ripe for reform.

The contributors are a who's who of the legal world, including practice group leaders from Akin Gump, Gibson Dunn and Weil Gotshal. In the weeks ahead, we'll showcase top attorneys at boutiques and powerhouse firms alike.

Experts Converge On Law360 Editorial Advisory Boards

Law360 on Monday announced the formation of its 2013 editorial advisory boards, welcoming the attorneys who will help make sure Law360 coverage is spot-on in the year ahead.

"It's a privilege to have such a distinguished group of participants," Law360 managing editor Cat Fredenburgh said. "The editorial advisory boards keep us on our toes and ensure that we are covering the cases, issues, and trends that animate each practice area."

Law360 received an overwhelming number of nominations, and in the end selected 262 top attorneys from elite firms, government agencies, and blue-chip companies to sit on its 21 practice- and industry-specific advisory boards.

Participants include stars at DLA Piper, Fish & Richardson, Gibson Dunn, and Boies Schiller, as well as the Federal Trade Commission and the Justice Department, and corporate powerhouses like Intel and JPMorgan.

Improved Navigation Bar Launches Today

Law360 has launched an improved navigation bar that streamlines access to the news, jobs, and events sections of our website. It also provides a gateway into our Law360 Data tools, which include a comprehensive case database and a variety of tracking tools for law firms, companies, industries, and more.

Changes to Navigation

As of today, here's how you can find the articles and tools you need:

• News Sections - access Law360 content through a drop-down menu of our 30+ practice areas,  industry, and state sections.
• Jobs - view job listings posted by law firms and recruiters, and post openings.
• Events - find legal events and publicize upcoming conferences, webinars, and seminars on our legal events calendar.
  
• Cases - get real-time intelligence on new case filings across the courts.
  
• Tracking - follow all the news and cases for the companies, law firms, government agencies, and industries you care about most.

The new navigaton bar makes it easy to access every facet of the Law360 platform and tap into the case database and tracking tools — part of the Law360 platform subscription — which are tabbed in red.

Privacy Law360 Gets Own Section

The Privacy & Consumer Protection section is now Privacy Law360, a section devoted exclusively to privacy and data security issues.

We have expanded our newsroom and ramped up coverage across the board, and our privacy law coverage has benefited in particular, to the point where a shared space no longer makes sense. The dedicated section is a one-stop source for privacy news and analysis, covering emerging litigation, data security issues, relevant legislation and regulation, and personnel moves at top law firms and agencies.

Our consumer protection coverage, meanwhile, continues to appear in other relevant practice area, industry, and state sections.

Track Patents In Cases, News Articles

Law360 has begun indexing patent numbers as part of our case and news alerts, making it easier than ever to stay on top of patent news and litigation.

The patent indexing system tracks patents across the federal district courts and alerts users to activity. Law360 articles now highlight the patents-in-suit and link the patent numbers to all the other cases involving the patent, as well as to Law360’s coverage of those high-stakes cases.
