Newsletter Makeover Offers Better Mobile Experience

Law360 has implemented a few changes to our daily newsletters, making them sleeker and more accessible for readers, especially those using mobile devices.

With new fonts and device-detection technology, the newsletters provide a better view of all the day's news, as well as the organizations involved.

Mobile users get a much more accessible newsletter view — no more fiddling with page size or positioning — with the relevant organizations clearly listed below the news.

Meanwhile, those using a traditional desktop email see a sleeker, easier-to-read newsletter, with the news crisply laid out and organizations listed in the right sidebar.

Law360 Names Practice Groups of the Year

Law360 is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s Practice Groups of the Year award — what better way to ring in the New Year than recognize the legal industry's standouts?

The editors of Law360 reviewed the nearly 550 entries that were submitted by almost 100 law firms. In the end, the judges selected 109 practice groups from 54 firms to be designated as Practice Groups of the Year.

Winners were selected based on the significance of the litigation wins or deals worked on; the size and complexity of the litigation wins or deals worked on; and the number of significant, large or complex deals the group worked on or lawsuits the group won between Nov. 1, 2011, and Nov. 1, 2012.

The winners form an exemplary field and their number points to the high caliber of work being done industry-wide. Leading this year’s pack are Morrison & Foerster and Skadden, which had seven and six practice groups selected, respectively.

Profiles of the winning groups will appear on Law360 beginning Jan. 3.
